We are so thankful to the beautiful soul @thirdeyegangsta for our collaboration on addiction for the past week. We have learnt so much about ourselves and hope you have too. We had some anxiety about doing a collab as we hadn’t done this before but we really do believe that trusting the universe, taking chances and going with the flow that is life is the only way to live otherwise we don’t experience, learn and grow. Thank you Feliciana for this opportunity!! We will definitely have a lot more exciting collabs in the future… one we will be introducing soon is a special sequence of YOGA PSYCHOTHERAPY which one of our therapists is just finalising with her guru in India. This kind of yoga will be working directly with emotions and memories and how to release them through a special sequence of postures, movement and guided visualisation. More to follow… Thank you to all of you for being part of Nurse The Soul. We look forward to starting with all of you who have won the half priced consultations. Feliciana will have DM’d you with the details so please check your inbox. 💛

Caught in the highs and lows of addiction we are not able to allow the waters to settle and see our own soul essence reflected back to us. Therapy is a space which gently supports us so we feel safe to stabilise and look into the beauty in our own reflection. If you would like to work with us please contact us via our website nursethesoul.com.

Compulsive eating is basically a refusal to be fully alive. No matter what we weigh, we have anorexia of the soul. We refuse to take in what sustains us. We live lives of deprivation. And when we can’t stand it any longer, we binge. – Geneen Roth

Learn how to receive love. As much as learning how to give love is important, if you cannot receive love without anxiety, you somehow don’t believe you are worthy of real love… Somewhere deep down you may truly believe that you are unlovable just the way you are. This can usually be traced back to childhood and conditional, rather than unconditional love, from the primary caregiver. To trust may be one of your biggest learnings which takes time and work. The ‘right’ person doesn’t exist like you may think it does and you may need to look at your relationship with control. This is an inner journey of opening your heart and sometimes it is important to work with a therapist of the same sex of your primary caregiver to allow the heart energy to soothe your soul.

Before you see how amazing you are you will always project onto other people, believing they have all these special and beautiful qualities which you don’t have. Let me tell you something, whatever you see in other people you have in yourself. This is why you see it in the first place… you just can’t see it clearly in you which is why you see it so strongly in others. Therapy is a way of learning more about yourself, having an honest mirror shine back to you your strengths. One of the biggest accomplishments for us as therapists is giving clients the ability to see their beauty and wisdom. We take on as much pro bono work as we can because one’s financial situation should not hold back anyone from believing in themselves. YOU are special, deserving, beautiful and if you cannot see it, let us hold your hand and show you the way.
