Psychotherapy is essentially about uncovering who you really are to find greater and deeper meaning in your life
Nurse The Soul’s Therapeutic Services are here to support you with nursing your soul.
Let us walk you through the process…
To start we we will send you an assessment form to fill in and send back to us. The assessment form is the first step to starting therapy. We would need you to fill this in and send it back to us first so we can understand where you’re at and what you’re looking for with therapy. You are not obliged to answer any of the questions and if you would prefer to answer certain questions in therapy rather than on paper just make a note of that on the form. After reading what you’ve filled in we will offer you some times to have an initial consultation.
The initial consultation is a free 50 minute appointment. It is a chance for you to meet and ask any questions you may have prior to committing to the therapy process so that you feel confident about moving forward together. The initial consultation can be face to face, over the phone, FaceTime, Skype or Zoom and there are no commitments to continuing therapy after this meeting. It’s a chance for us both to see if we are the right fit to begin this life changing work together. We like to have both personal and professional experience in the issues we work and specialise in. This is so that deep bonds within the therapeutic relationship can support the content of the therapy and the healing process.
In the initial consultation your therapist will explore with you why you are wishing to start therapy and answer any concerns you may have. Occasionally our practice can be the wrong fit for the individual, sometimes a solely focused psychoanalytic therapy, for example, might be more appropriate for you. We are connected with many counsellors, psychotherapists, therapeutic services, healers, shamanic teachers and psychiatrists which we can suggest to you if something outside our services is needed. Towards the end of the consultation, if you wish to move forward together, we will agree a date and time for our weekly sessions.
The therapy we offer at Nurse The Soul is integrative therapy. Integrative therapy is a multi model practice of counselling and psychotherapy; CBT, Humanistic, Existential, Psychodynamic, Jungian and Transpersonal therapy. Integrative therapists believe that there is never a one size fits all therapy as everyone is different. We use and combine the models differently every time to fit what the client is bringing to the therapeutic space.
Trust is a vital ingredient to therapy and at Nurse The Soul we believe an honest relationship works both ways. Nurturing this authentic relationship between therapist and client is our number one priority. We like younger therapists to work with younger clients as a way of bridging the age gap and understanding the client’s social context. We look at the past, present and future and the unique attachment style of the client in a confidential, safe space. We follow the client in whatever direction they go, making sure to bring them back to the core of the distortion for growth. If the client enjoys art, music, drama, play, we bring this to the therapy room. The idea is to explore thoughts, feelings, intuitions and sensations from mind, body and soul perspectives so that the therapy is a transformative experience that the client can take away once the therapy is over. It is about carrying the experience in their psyche. – Jasmine Jarchevska, Founder of Nurse The Soul
To start, send us a message saying you are interested in starting therapy and let us know your availability. We will only offer you a consultation if we have the space to also offer you therapy within a week after your initial consultation as it we know how important it is to start when you make that first leap of faith. If you have any questions that you’d like to ask over email before having a 50 minute consultation our email is firstname.lastname@example.org.
It’s essential to us that our clients finish therapy with confidence, the knowing of who they truly are and are achieving their dreams
